The Elector of Saxony – August the Strong – was considered the most gallant king of the continent 350 years ago. He celebrated lavish parties, surrounded himself with magnificent treasures, fathered 345 children and enjoyed the beauties of life like no other. In search of light and shine, he ordered the apothecary Böttger to do something: he should produce gold. He succeeded in inventing European porcelain in a secret location. The white gold, still today a declaration of love for exquisiteness and beauty, was born.
